It occurred to me recently that there are lots of single ladies at pretty much any church one rocks up to, I mean lots and lots and lots of single ladies… Downside? Usually fewer single guys. A friend of mine told me she has been aware of this for some time and did not need reminding…
So if you’re tired of being single, I say we re-introduce an age old phenomena called ‘match making’. Apparently this has been going on for thousands of years but our generation appears to have lost this art generally speaking (I know some hate my ‘general speak’, but it helps to cut it short). So with ‘match making’, what happens is that a loving Christian sets up a ‘blind’ date with a single guy and a single lady who have potential together. This works really well I’m told because our friends know friends we don’t know, and so it creates a more extended network than we could ever imagine before.
Have you set up a date before? If not, have a go!!
I’ve been on a couple of ‘blind’ dates before and actually they were quite fun, I mean seriously, would I rather be at home watching TV and relishing in my singleness? Come on people, let’s be honest.
Recently I set up two for a date, it didn’t work out for them but they were still nonetheless very grateful. So I’m sure if you tried setting two up, odds are they’ll appreciate what you’ve done. After I set up this one friend, she then returned the favour which was a total surprise! So think about, plenty of good reasons to get out there people…
